[Translation] Seifuumeigetsu ~Yoiyami Rensou Kitan~ Track 2: "Yoiyami Hanabi"

 

TOO long time without any post >_<. Now I want to share a translation of doujin song, sung by Hatsuki Yura. I translated this song with the help of  Denshi Jisho.

This album, titled Yoiyami Rensou Kitan (宵闇恋想奇譚) is a collab album between Hatsuki Yura and Drop. I decided to translate the second track named "Yoiyami Hanabi" (宵闇花火) because I love the story. But I already romanized lyric of the other songs, so maybe I'll post them even if I don't translate them.

 

 

So, move on the story. Yoiyami Hanabi means "Firework at Dusk" tell us a story about a girl who never loved by anyone. She doesn't have anyplace to come back so after other children come home in the evening, she keeps playing alone in night. Suddenly, she noticed that she accidentally stepped too far in the darkness. That's when she meets a ayakashi who looks like a young man with silver hair and wearing a fox's mask. He fall in love with the girl and take her with him, the girl herself don't care where the ayakashi take her as long as she doesn't have to feel any pain or sadness  anymore. Little by little, she got swallowed by the darkness.

 
夕暮れ(ゆうぐれ)に手を振る子たち 戻る場所の無い、私
夜の風と遊びながら 踏み込んだ宵闇の中

Yuugure ni te wo furu kotachi

Modoru basho no nai, watashi.

Yoru no kaze to asobinagara,

fumikonda yoiyami no naka

The children waving their hands at dusk

Me, who doesn’t have anywhere to come back

While playing with the night’s wind,

I stepped into the twilight

 

「君ハ何処へ行クノ？」
狐(きつね)の面が笑う
何処へでも連れて行って欲しい 痛みの無い場所

 

"Kimi wa doko e yuku no?”

Kitsune no men ga warau

Doko e demo tsurete itte hoshii,

Itami no nai basho

“Where are you going to?”

The fox’s mask is laughing

I want you to take me,

to a place without any pain.

 

木々達は さらりと揺れて 唇に露(つゆ)を落とす
萤火（ほたるひ）が森を照らした 手を取って誘(いざな)う狐

Kibitachi wa sarari to yurete,

Kuchibiru ni tsuyu wo otosu

Hotarubi ga mori wo terashita

Te wo totte izanau kitsune

 

The trees are swaying smoothly,

dropping dew on my lips.

The fireflies are shining in the forest

While the fox, taking my hand, is alluring me

 

 

「君ト共ニ行クヨ」
銀色の髪 揺れる
誓いの簪(かんざし)付けたら 嘆きの無い場所

 

“Kimi to tomo ni yuku yo”

Gin iro no kami yureru

Chikai no kanzashi tsuketara,

Nageki no nai basho e.

 

“I will go with you”

His silver hair is swaying

If I wore this ornament hairpin of oath,

He will take me to the place without lament

赤い鳥居をくぐり抜け 石畳の其の先で
歌う夜の子達 鬼や鬼 手の鳴るほうへ

Akai torii wo kugirinuke

Ishidatami no sono saki de

Utau yoru no kodomotachi

Oni ya oni, te no naru hou e

Passing through the red gate,

what I see beyond the stone pavement,

are the children of night, singing

demon, demon, follow the sound of our hands’ clasp

 

 

闇に浮かぶ彼岸花(ひがんばな)
紅(くれな)い色 契(ちぎり)彩(いろ)
鮮やかに川を燃やし帰り道もわからない

Yami ni ukabu higanbana

Kurenai iro chigiri iro

Azayaka ni kawa wo moyashi

Kaeri michi mo wakaranai

The red-spider lily, floating in the darkness

With their crimson, color of vow

Beautifully burning the river,

made me lost my way home

誰からも触れてもらえず 誰からも愛されずに
顏(かんばせ)は黒く爛（ただ）れて
只、隱し恥らうばかり

Dare kara mo furete moraezu, dare kara mo aisarezu ni

Kanbase wa kuroku tadarete

Tada, kakushi hajirau bakari

Me, who haven’t been touched nor loved by anyone,

My dignity brilliantly soaked in black

Just keep concealing and feeling the shyness

 

「君ハ何ヲ視ルノ」
狐の面が嘆く
美しい心は白い胸に光っている

“Kimi wa nani wo miru no?”

Kitsune no men ga nageku

Utsukushii kokoro wa shiroi mune ni hikatteiru

“What are you looking at?”

The fox’s mask is lamenting

The beautiful heart is shining in the white chest

 

夜に咲く鬼火の群れ 祝言を祝う鴉 淚声 囁く声
嗚呼、後ろの正面だぁれ

Yoru ni saku onibi no mure

Shuugen wo iwau karasu

Namidagoe sasayakugoe

Aa, ushiro no shoumen daare?

Many demon’s fire are blooming in the night

And the crows are celebrating the wedding

The voice of tears, whispering

Who is it in front of behind?

 

震える手離さないで 貴方が居れば其れで良い
揺れる影が交差する 切ない声一つに成る

Furueru te hanasanaide

Anata ga ireba sore de ii

Yureru kage ga kousasuru

Setsunai koe hitotsu ni naru

Don’t let go of this trembling hand

I am enough just to be with you

The shaken shadows are intersecting

and the lonely voices become one
