I think it already a long time since I posted something that
is not translation, so this time I’ll write some news about Quinrose, my
favorite Otome Game company. Although QR was, is and maybe will always be, my
favorite otome game company, I would have to say that I’m disappointed in their
decreasing quality recently (and I’m heard same thing happened to Otomate’s
games-just they released so many games that in a while a pretty good game will
always appear).
I’m happy that they make more games (almost one game each
month) instead of 2-3 games a year like they used to do, just..... if only the
can keep the quality. Even so, I still played their games every month and
QuinRose homepage is on the top of my browser’s favorite list.
Okay, enough grumbling, let’s start with the news: Quinrose
awaiting games (per September 2013)
Fifth game in Kaidan Romance’s series,
and a fandisk of second game Hyakki
Yakou ~Kaidan Romance~. Will be released on 26th September 2013, with same cast
as previous game but with two more capturable character: the Aburasumashi Asuma Heita (CV: Terashima
Takuma) and the Tengu Tobiura Wakaba
(CV: Maeno Tomoaki). This will be rated Cero D (17+).
The second remake of classic Heart no Kuni
no Alice. This is a Cero D PSP games, with same content (and also some more
addition) of Anniversary Alice, completely remade graphic with Mamenosuke
Fujimaru (Joker no Kuni no Alice ~Circus and the Game of Liar~, Heart no Kuni
no Alice Movie) as illustrator, and this is a PURE VN, meaning no 300 turn
based gameplay. Will be released on 31th October. Because it is Anniversary's remake, no characters from Clover, Joker or Diamond here. Opening movie already out,
and I have to say that I’m quite impressed with
Alice-punched-Peter-in-the-prologue CG, it improved each time they redraw
it......
Fandisk of Shinigami Kagyou, and so far the
last game for Kaidan Romance series (QuinRose still didn’t announced new game
for this series). Like it’s main game, this one follow the story of a female shinigami, Kuromon Sumi and her
acquintances in shinigami world.
There are two more dateable characters; baketanuki
Tachibana Chitose (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko) and the oni Shouji Kazuma (CV: Suwabe Junichi). By the way, although the
main game’s story is nowhere close as QuinRose earlier PC games, the artwork is
so far the best, I really love the coloring effect in some CG, they surely are
high quality CG. Dated to be released on 14 November 2013.
4. 4.Taishou Oni Kitan
Okay, after the-not-so-bloody vampire game
(Romeo VS Juliet) QuinRose will release a Oni
game. Taishou Oni Kitan, like the title took time in Taishou era, and follow the story of a human girl, Yatsusa Kotoko
and several good looking oni. I'm not interested in this game so I can't provide more info. To be released on 19 December 2013.
5 5. Arabians Doubt
Sequel of Quinrose’s second game Arabians
Lost. This is for PSP, a pure VN and will be out on 30 January 2014 . The
previous game follow the quest of Aileen, the only crowned princess of the country
of criminal Gilkhatar. Although she wanted to live a normal life, her parents
told her to be married and to choose a husband amongst 5 candidates: an
dangerous assassin, a professional gambler who is also a huge casino owner, sons
of two ministers, a black merchant who double job as a doctor, and don’t forget
her tutor. In this sequel, however the story added two more characters, one is Aileen’s ex-boyfriend
Theodor Law and her second cousin Jared Balthasar.

6. Satomi Hakkenden
As the title implied, this game is based on
Nanso Satomi Hakkenden. The main
character is a girl named Inuzuka Shino -who is raised like a boy, so her
appearance is quite boyish. She left her village in order to fullfil her
father’s last words. Not much info are out, but the cast already appear in the
main web (why they put Namikawa Daisuke as an ossan seiyuu is a mystery for now -_-). No release date yet, but
assumed to be out around February 2014.
7. Kuroyukihime
Means: Snow Black Princess, this game is
based on *twisted* Snow White story. Follow the life of Liz Tresor, who is a
beautiful village girl that adopted to be the country’s princess at the young
age (so she could be used for political marriage). But one day the prime
minister killed the king and thus Liz should run to the forest. There she met
several people who, like her, also run away from they original country because
of the same prime minister destroyed their country. Assumed to be out on March
2014.
8. Black Code
No info out for now except that this is based
on “Seven Deadly Sins and the Last Four Things”. I love the art, it seems
different than QR usual art.
