"Time is China around Three Kingdoms era. There are clan called "Maozoku" (lit: Cat People). Because their cat ears, they were despised by human who thought them as descendants of Cat Demon Kinme and given them another name "Jyuuza" as a mock of thirteenth zodiac. To avoid conflicts, Maozoku lives secluded far from from anywhere. Their peaceful days ended when an army infiltrate their village in search for Yellow Scarf Rebels. Though the Maozoku have no idea about those rebels, the army leader Sousou forced them to choose: be annihilated for hiding rebels, or work under him to destroy the Yellow Scarves -thus proof their innocence. Having no choice, the Maozoku left their village to work under the humans that hate and discriminate their clan."

Kan'U:
A Half-Maozoku Half Human girl. Feel indebted to Maozoku who accepted mixed blood like her, she is willing to do anything for her clan's sake. This make her doing reckless sometimes. Her human father was unknown and her maozoku mother left the village years ago so she was raised by the clan's martial arts teacher. Kan'U grown up to be the strongest fighter in the village and also acted as a clan chief's substitute -in place of childish-like Ryuubi. During their forced work under Sou Sou, Kan'U was the maozoku's leader in battlefield. Raised together and very close with Ryuubi and Chou Hi, with whom she developed sibling-like relationship.
Ryuubi (CV: Ishida Akira)
The Maozoku's leader. Though his appearance was a little kid, he is actually 15 years old, for some reason both his body and mind stopped growing several years prior. Maozoku respect and protect him. Ryuubi was the reason why Maozoku accepted Kan'U as comrade despite her human blood. Really close with Kan'U and Chou Hi- especially Kan'U who also tend to spoil and over protect Ryuubi. Descendant of white-haired Ryuu clan who acted as Maozoku's leader for generation. Has a pure and soft hearted, he hate seeing his friends fight and got injured in war. Behind his childish manner, Ryuubi concealed a secret.....
Chou Hi (Okamoto Nobuhiko)
Another Kan'U childhood's friend. He respect Kan'U so much that he called her Aneki (Big Sis). Though he has strength, he acted immature and sometimes even called stupid. A Genki boy who every so often got into an argument with Sou Sou subordinate's Ka Kouton.
Chou Un (CV: Suzumura Kenichi)
Wu Shu's leader Kou Sonsan's subordinate. Unlike most human, he (and his master Kou Sonsan) didn't despise nor discriminate Maozoku. Because he treated Maozoku normally, the clan gradually have a trust and befriend him. Chou Un especially interested in and worrying Kan'U, who despite her strength is still a woman that normally shouldn't be in warfield. A polite young man who also a great general in his country's army. Chou Un is in charge of White Horse's army so he loved to grooming horses.
Sou Sou (CV: Toriumi Kousuke)
Son of Sou family, a young general who was in charge of destroy Yellow Scarves Rebellion. Accidentally found Maozoku's village, he quickly used the opportunity to use the Maozoku's strength (which are superior than human's but due to their limited number wouldn't have any chance fighting Sou Sou's full army) under his command. Thank's to his past he could only feel resent and hate, that resulting him to grown up into a cold and merciless man. Have an ambition to conquer the land, and used Maozoku as one of his pawn. Especially interested with Kan'U due to her strength and personality.
Ka Kouton (CV: Suzuki Tatsuhisa)
A general under Sou Sou. Like most human, he hate Maozoku whom he called "Jyuuza" and questioned Sou Sou's decision to use them, though he didn't say his objection openly. Ka Kouton usually move in pair with his cousin and also Sou Sou's another general Ka Kouen, with whom he has a brotherly relationship. Though sometimes he can act immature (like argued with Chou Hi) Ka Kouton is a good general with calm mind and good ability. Believe that battlefield has no place for woman, added with Kan'U ability which is in par (or even more) than his and the fact that Kan'U is a Maozoku, make Ka Kouton resent her more than other Maozoku (though he acknowledge her power and ability). Both Ka Kouton and Ka Kouen respect Sou Sou so much that they are willing to do anything he order them to.
Chou Ryou (CV: Yusa Kouji)
A general under Ryou Fu. A good-looking young man who is also a gentleman. He has an absolute loyalty towards Ryou Fu. Always smiling, but if ordered to he could kill people with smile. His fighting ability is a top one, as Chou Ryou even stronger than Ka Kouton and Ka Kouen. Because Ryou Fu interested in Kan'U, Chou Ryou also develop a similar feeling toward her (at first). Seems to be multitalented, as he is also a good cook.
Sub Characters:
Ka Kouen (CV: Namikawa Daisuke)
Ka Kouton's cousin and younger brother's figure. Best at archery but join sword squad to accompany his Anija (Big Bro). Like his cousin, Ka Kouen also hate Maozoku, though he seems to be even more stubborn than Ka Kouton.
Bachou (CV: Sugita Tomokazu)
Young leader of Ba clan, an independent clan who live most their life on horses' back. Like Maozoku their clan also treated as lowly class, so he show no discrimination towards Maozoku. A playboy, because usually no woman stay in battlefield, he quickly noticed and flirted Kan'U. Even so, in term of his role as a young leader he is quite serious and reliable.
En Shou
Leader of En family, and En Jutsu's relative. Somewhat a soft and calm young man, in contrast with En Jutsu. He has two loyal subordinates who work as his generals.
Ryou Fu (Sawashiro Miyuki)
A general woman works under Tou Taku, Sou Sou's enemy. Having a monstrous strong power and cruel attitude make her feared by enemies. Work under Tou Taku only on whim and show no loyalty at all. Loves cute things, including cute girls like Kan'U whom she called "Little Kitty". She always accompanied by a girl named Chou Sen, who declared Ryou Fu as her "lover".
