Tired from their work, the Princes gathered to take a vacation together. What kind of vacation the VIPs will have? This time, we have Cinderella's Prince, Snow White's Prince, Rapunzel's Prince and Sleeping Beauty's Prince. Taking time in summer season, this CD offering a glimpse of the princes' daily life, which, of course very funny because of their personalities.
"Oujisama Warai Series" is a drama CD series that tell the story of princes from different fairytales, with
a bitmuch alteration and LOT of humor.

Note: The princes here was called not by their real names but their princess' name (e.g. Rapunzel's prince was called "Rapunzel"), so I use the same pattern in my reviews.
Story 1:
Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ibara and Shirayuki met in a restaurant. After a bit chaotic introduction (with Ibara's gaming freak and Cinderella's personality meet each other), Shirayuki tell them the reason he gathered them: to have a summer holiday because this CD was out in summer (japan's holiday season).
Well, put that aside for now, before discuss they have meal. While eating his meal Shirayuki asked their condition recently. Rapunzel as usual spend his time playing with his wife and kids, Ibara started a new adventure - in game, Cinderella was busy trying new type of weapons that out during summer.
Shirayuki however, recently he has problem with his wife's relatives, not very big that may cause war (since Shirayuki's princess is from a strong country, and she has bad relationship with her parents), but if something happen he might have to borrow Cinderella's army. Cinderella told Shirayuki that's happen because he mindlessly married a random girl that he found in forest. The others didn't have the same problem: Sleeping Beauty's princess has her relatives died long time before, Rapunzel's princess didn't know her parents and Cinderella have an arranged marriage of his brother's plan. The conversation ended by they discussed their families and Kingdoms.
Track 2: One Day of Shirayuki.
Morning: He awoke on sunrise, then waking up his servant (who always wake up longer than the prince).
Noon: Get lost in forest. For some reason, his parents always send him to the forest.
Night: Having a romantic night with his princess.
Track 3: Story 2
Continued from track one, Cinderella complained that he was busy, why he has to listen to Shirayuki's problem? In other hand, Ibara told him that he also has to missed a birthday event to go to this meeting. Shirayuki replied that Cinderella is never busy, and Ibara's birthday event should be a virtual one.
Rapunzel, being cheerful as ever, took the chance to showing off his children (Johann and Anna) craft, boosting about it like a doting parents. Conversation changed into children's, as Rapunzel asked the other princes if they also have children. Well, not, as the question obviously make Shirayuki and Ibara embarrassed.
Love story only make things hotter, not fit for summer's conversation so they started talking about holiday's places. Ibara suggested an Ice Dungeon, of course rejected instantly. Rapunzel asked if they can go to Hikaru (Prince from Genji Monogatari) friend's house, which is near beach. This also rejected, as Shirayuki suspected the called "friend" is actually one of the Hikaru's lover.
However Shirayuki liked the beach idea, as he imagined the princess' in swimsuit. The other princes also imagined their princess in a pretty swimsuit. This idea also has to be rejected, when Rapunzel talked about mermaid (since next CD out is mermaid's story....). If they go to the beach it would be a problem for the production staff.
Cinderella then suggest mountain, because the mountain's forest must be cool. His idea rejected because except Cinderella, the other princes met their princess in forest. Cinderella the wondered why so many princess lived/found in the forest......
Then they talked about river, it must be cool and supposedly no princess floating there, right? But Rapunzel told them that Hikaru's told him a story about a boy who born from the peach floated on the river. Because Shirayuki and Cinderella thought that increasing characters would be bad, river also a rejection.
Track 4: One Day of Rapunzel.
Morning: The children come to wake him up, at the end he ended playing with them.
Noon : Playing with the children. When his children want to play another game, Rapunzel pouted and insisted to play tag.
Night : Take the children to their bed. At the end, he sleep before his children.
Track 5: Story 3
After several hours, the princes still didn't decide their holiday's destination. Rapunzel said that he want to play together somewhere. Annoyed, Cinderella told him to go with his family instead. This make Rapunzel wanted to make a vacation together with everyone's families, he wanted to introduces his wife and kids! But Shirayuki said that Rapunzel had sent himself and Cinderella his family's photo as Christmas card, isn't that enough? Hearing this, Ibara depressed as he didn't receive one (well, today is the first time he meet Rapunzel). Rapunzel then complained that he didn't receive a reply from Cinderella, although Shirayuki did. Cinderella only didn't want bothering himself over something like Christmas cards. Suddenly, Ibara's weak voice interrupted, will they reply if he sent them email? Not mail, because he wanted to attach anime picture on it. Of course, Cinderella refused to receive one.
Rapunzel advised Cinderella to give more attention to seasonal and special events, his wife must be willing to celebrate, too! Cinderella replied that his princess didn't bother too, but in teasing voice Shirayuki said that maybe she only didn't tell him, but when they have a fight she would like "You even didn't celebrate this and that!"...... it could be that Shirayuki has the same experience before. Shirayuki said that his wife wouldn't ended with only that..... woman's really scary at something like this. The way Shirayuki described was very real that even Cinderella frowned.
After a while, Rapunzel suggested to go somewhere cool, as their previous discussion was failed. Again, Ibara recommend an ice dungeon, which he heard from his internet's friend Andersen. Though Shirayuki and Cinderella obviously thought the place as suspicious, at the end they decided to go to the ice dungeon, a castle made from ice once said to be the Ice Queen's residence.
Several hours later, the four prince and a servant (Shirayuki's male servant) arrived at the rumoured mountain, which mysteriously covered with snow even in this summer. Ibara and Rapunzel were alright when Cinderella and Shirayuki couldn't stand the cold. When they arrived in the castle, they found the building was empty, with only a mirror stood inside. The mirror said to be a demonic item that could reflect something completely different, like the face of a beautiful woman before she do her make-up. Rapunzel seemed interested and touched the mirror when suddenly it fall over him. Luckily Shirayuki pulled him in time so he had no wound, while Shirayuki got a glass shard inside his eye.
Everyone worrying Shirayuki, when suddenly -in unusual cold voice- Shirayuki told them to stop talking. It seemed that the glass shard was a demonic one, that change Shirayuki's personality. Shirayuki then started to babbling many things; how Rapunzel wasn't fitting to be shota chara, Cinderella is only an otaku who was lucky born as prince if not no one wants to marry him, Ibara is a freak gamer, and the servant was unfitting to be one because he always wake up late and was useless when they travelled. When Shirayuki grumbling about "Oujisama Warai Series"" just a nonsense drama cd, panickly his servant tried to block his voice.
Several hours later, the party managed to take Shirayuki back to the town. The other princes discussed how to cure their friend. Because he affected by a magic's mirror then it would be best to ask a wizard help. Ibara didn't know any wizard except from games, and Aladin was on holiday so he was out of range. Anyway, for now they should take Shirayuki back home. However the said man refused to. He said that being a prince, having a family and wife all are bullshit, yes, from now on he better be a.... winged angel. Said that, he run away. His servant hastily chased over him.
Well, it would be better if they let the servant take over him. Cinderella took out a mirror's piece he picked up before. If they can do something with this they might knew the way to cure Shirayuki. Meanwhile the said prince was riding a carriage with a bishoujo drawn on it. Shirayuki also wore a black cloth he proclaimed as a cloth fitting for the reincarnated him. In other place, the three princes arrived at Cinderella's weapon collection room, a warehouse filled with many kinds of weapon. Because the mirror was from ice castle, fire would be a good choice. Cinderella gave them a flamethrower with only able to fire twice, then said he didn't want to do troublesome job so they should do it alone. Ibara said Cinderella as a cold-hearted, but they should deal with Shirayuki first.
Shirayuki was giving a suspicious speech in the town when the two princes aimed him from the bushes. Firing was Ibara's role as he experienced playing shooting games. Unfortunately he failed, and when the angry Shirayuki chase them suddenly Cinderella appeared and pinned the other prince down, a cool action because in that range there is possibility that he would get burned. Ibara was preparing for another shoot but stopped by Rapunzel, who noticed the mirror shard he put in his pocket was melt due to the summer heat. Shirayuki's shard should have been melted too so it must be alright, maybe......
Track 5 : One Day of Cinderella
Morning : Sleep until noon, and let his brother and ministers do his jobs.
Noon : Awaken and very excited upon receiving a weapon package he ordered.
Night : Trying his new weapon by using his brother as target.
Track 6: Story 4
Night, they returned to Ibara's castle. Because of the day's events Shirayuki got a cold. Cinderella mocking him, said that only fools got cold in summer. Sneezing continuously, Shirayuki swore to never ever come to the place suggested by Ibara. Even so, the summer was so hot, so Ibara's servant suggested telling ghost stories. Ibara refused because he got scared easily but he has no veto as the others started with the stories.
The first is Ibara's servant's story. At first his story was scary, but later it only a Little Red Riding Hood's tale. Then Shirayuki's turn. He told a story of a princess who went to married a neighbor prince, accompanied by only a maid and a horse (Cinderella : "What a fool, why didn't she bring guards?") . Then the maid took a chance, get rid the real princess and killed the horse then married the prince. However, since that night everyone in the castle can hear the dead horse's head keep whispering "the princess is the fake one....". Well, the story was a normal fairytale, though Shirayuki insisted that a dead horse's talking was scary enough.
When Cinderella's turn, he also told a well known fairy tale about a princess who rejected a prince's proposal. The prince then masked as a poor entertainer in the castle, showing everyone a toy he made. When the princess demanded the toy, he asked her to kiss him. She did so, and when the king found it both of them chased out from castle. The prince revealed his disguise then left the princess as his revenge was fulfilled. Of course it also wasn't a ghost story but Cinderella said that this indeed a scary one, man's vengeance sometimes scarier than woman's.
Track 7: One Day of Ibara
Morning : Playing a farming simulation game.
Noon : Playing another game.
Night : Playing online game (one of his online friend is Andersen-san), while from outside the room his servant begging him to go out from bedroom at least once a day....
Conclusion:
I didn't think it would be this long >__<. Well, Oujisama Warai Series is one of my favorite drama cd (my favorite genre is either heartbreaking stories or super funny one). And I really enjoyed the characters interaction, especially Shirayuki and Cinderella. If only they added Emperor, I really love how he lament over Kaguya-hime LOL. Variation drama cd was one of spin-off of main series, per November 2013 there are three variation cd total, with the fourth will be out at the end of November.
